Locally Made"Locally Made" is important to our business. Because of that, we strive to sell as many products as possible that are made in the U.S.A. and North America. We're pleased that a substantial percentage of the products you'll find in our store are produced here. We're even more pleased that we're able to produce multiple lines of our own Astoria Hemp Works branded products right here in Astoria.
Why Eco-fibers?
Eco-fibers aren't new. The world has been wearing hemp, cotton, silk and wool for eons. What is new is the growing awareness of how important it is for each of us to act responsibly towards our environment, so that we can leave this earth in better condition for generations to come.
Being gentle on the earth is just one way we can make a difference in the living conditions and environmental conditions that matter so much to us all. Astoria Hemp Works offers only the best hemp, bamboo, organic cotton and Tencel fiber products. Using natural fibers makes our products strong, durable and long lasting, yet soft and comfortable for you to wear. While tencel and bamboo are both considered rayon fabrics, they're made in environmentally sensitive processes from non-petroleum bases or from recycled PTN (soda and water bottles) blended with organic cotton, or hemp fibers. We and our suppliers use fiber reactive dyes that are easy on the environment, yet long lasting and child safe. You can wear and use your Astoria Hemp Works products knowing that you're making a difference one piece of clothing at at a time.
